Back in the home studio with Louisiana’s own NECROMIRE. Necromire is a death metal band that includes musicians from different parts of the state. These guys have a unique blend of death metal that is equal parts of riff heavy chugs and carefully crafted melodic solo madness. I was able to catch one of their performances in Lafayette, LA and the gents of Necromire did not disappoint. We had a fun time over here at headquarters. In this latest episode of TFTR, I welcome Mr. Boris Behara from the band Tryglav and YouTube vlogging fame. Boris is all about showcasing black metal and its history like no one else can. Boris has amassed over 100 thousand subscribers, recorded over 300 videos and even makes time to record his own brand of black metal in his band Tryglav. This episode was a great opportunity for me and any of you who would like to get a peak behind the proverbial curtain. In this episode of TFTR, I am joined by none other than Mr. Brian Patton of Soilent Green, EYEHATEGOD, and Outlaw Order. If you follow the New Orleans metal scene, then you would know that Mr. Patton is synonymous with the insane amount of riffs that have been injected into the veins of the scene at large. Brian wrote an absurd amount of songs that rabid fans have long been playing on their stereos, phones, etc. This was an interview that I had been looking forward to for a long time. Brian was gracious enough to lend me his time just before he took the stage at Southport Music Hall in New Orleans for what would be an incredible performance by Soilent Green. In this episode of TFTR, I am joined by High Black River out of New Orleans. High Black River consists of bassist, vocalist and founder; Michelle , drummer Ana, and guitarist  Espie. This all female power trio has been working non stop for over 2 years developing their sound. The collective drove all the way down to TFTR headquarters for an in studio chat to discuss the band’s creative process as well as their time in the studio ahead of their debut show at this year’s 15th annual Creepy Fest on Sunday July 21st.
