In this episode, I welcome Mr. Jarrett Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard wears many hats. He is a tour manager, front of house and in-studio sound engineer, producer, drummer, and guitarist with over 30 years of experience. Most notably, he is the recording engineer for extreme metal bands such as 1349, Goatwhore, and Pulchra Morte. Coming up in Florida by way of Virginia, this man has been through it all. Jarrett has a wealth of history, knowledge, and pure entertainment to say the least. This is one epic conversation of true genius. This is the ultimate conversation for gear heads such as myself who want to pick the brain of a pro's pro.

Got another legend in the building and on the podcast. Mr. Vinnie LaBella of New Orleans' Exhorder joins me to talk all about his tory and actual history of Exhorder and the New Orleans metal sound. This episode was almost two years in the making. Vinnie is one of the coolest cats that I have ever met. So down to earth and humble. This was conversation was a damn treat ya heard?!

It is only fitting that his episode is numbered 94, because that is the year I first discovered Darkthrone (the same year they released Transylvanian Hunger.) However, the man is also responsible for some of the sickest interviews that I have ever read during his time at Metalbite.com. The man contributed to over 80 interviews in a 2 year time span that features Trym Torson of Emperor, Zyklon, Nasty Savage and many more. I consider Vlad a very dear friend, and someone who has inspired me no less.

Earlier this year, I had the extreme pleasure of visiting Mr. Tommy Buckley at his home. Ever the generous host, he invited me in and we had such a lovely chat about everything that is the New Orleans sludge metal sound. Mr. Buckley was there at ground zero when it all came to be. This was a conversation I have been wanting to have. Someone who had lived through the beginnings of a radical sonic movement that is often duplicated in all corners of the globe. Happy 2025 everyone. We start the new year with Circle of Nerves. Based out of Stockholm, Sweden the band Circle of Nerves are paying homage to their North American counterparts of the sludge metal variety. Their name is taken from Louisiana's own EYEHATEGOD's releases, so you know they are students of the game. Their sound is aggressive as fvck and just as groovy. I am joined by their drummer, Anton who was gracious with his time to give me his story and how Circle of Nerves had come to be.
